The surrender of British General Cornwallis at Yorktown was the last major battle of the American Revolution, and it helped to guarantee independence. But this outcome would not have been possible without Washington’s loyal ally Rochambeau and his French army.
Now you can recreate Rochambeau’s army with this book of 38 paper soldiers! Grenadiers and chasseurs (light infantry) are included, as well as regular infantry. The French Royal Artillery with two cannons is also included, as well as a skilled engineer with a map of Yorktown. But the most colorful troops are the hussars of Lauzun’s Legion with their red trousers and sky-blue jackets. All of these are commanded by General Rochambeau, wearing his medal of the Cross de St. Louis. Bases are marked with fleur-de-lys, so there is no confusion in the heat of battle!
This book measures 8.5″x11″, and contains 10 pages of figures and bases. Historical information about these French soldiers is included on the back cover.
